Hi, I'm Dr. Charles Payet, and I'd like to tell you a bit about why I have the Periolase MVP-7 dental laser in my office, and why I'm so passionate about spreading the news on what it can do:
For as long as dentistry has been helping people to save their teeth, one of the biggest barriers has been that of periodontal disease, also called gum disease or pyorrhea. It's the most common disease in the United States, but it's also one of the least treated diseases, even though we've had the means to at least control it for many decades. The reason for that is very simple: those treatments could only control the disease, never actually reverse any of the damage done, and they were so uncomfortable and painful that patients rarely ever completed the surgical phase.
But now, thanks to the dedication of a couple general dentists in California whom I am fortunate to call friends, Dr. Delwin McCarthy and Dr. Robert Gregg, we have the Periolase MVP-7 laser, which is truly the wave of the future. Some are even calling it the new Standard of Care for treatment of gum disease, and from what I've seen of it, I believe it.
One of the reasons I chose the Periolase, of all the dental lasers available, is that Millenium Dental, the company that Drs. Gregg and McCarthy founded to make the Periolase, refuses to even ship the laser to dentists until they have completed 3 GRUELING days of intensive learning to attain their Standard Proficiency Certification in Dental Lasers. No other company in dentistry does anything even like this! That was the kind of commitment to excellence in which I believe, and after completing those 3 days, I am even more convinced than ever that this was the best choice to make for YOU, my patients. But beyond that, I have known many doctors all over the United States (there are only 4 of us in all of Charlotte who have a Periolase), who have been using this remarkable laser for a number of years, and the response is absolutely unanimous (and let me tell you, that practically NEVER happens in dentistry!) - LANAP flat out works. Other lasers may work some of the time, but not like this. Given that I have a passion for what I do, and a commitment to only provide the absolute best dental care to you, why would I chose anything else?
